I figured out how to run a phone line though the attic and to our new media room. I got a dial tone on the first try. All good. The TV will be here in hours. That thing better work. I don’t want to have the same bullshit that happend with our brand new expensive stove. When I took the packaging box off the stove we discovered a chunk of paint that had been worn off the top. Plus there were two smaller places where the paint had been chipped off. That was an ordeal to box it back up and return it to Lowe’s and get a replacement.

Anyway, the TV should be ok. Late.

Finally, after 5 years of impatiently waiting to buy a killer setup, our new TV is set to be delivered on Tuesday 1-31-06. I went with a Samsung HLR5667W 56″> Widescreen HD-Ready DLP TV. I am also going to score a DirecTV HD DVR to round out the package. I have a surround sound set up so that is handled too.

Yeah.

I scored this layout from a site called law-blog.de. They created this layout with inspiration from a list apart. I dig the clean layout. I will get the linkage working again later today. There is a lot of space on this layout that need something added. If you’re not using Wordpress for your blogness I highly recommend it. It is way easier to set up than Moveable Type.

That’s about it til later. Rock on.

Oh, before I forget, I got a Sirius satellite radio 2 weeks ago. If you do not have one I highly recommend getting a unit. The music choices are awesome, plus you get Howard Stern uncensored. His show is how it was meant to be, people talking like people, not FCC prodded robots. As the Howard 100 bumper says,”No More Bullshit!”

I scored a new layout here for the ominous, always contrite, to the point, fiddy.com.

Chris Penn died today in Santa Monica. That is crazy, he was only 43! Little brother of Sean Penn.

I see there are some crazy video sites on the www. A drifting video I found is bad. I mean bad bad. Don’t even click here. Ultra graphic splatter scene.

We got a great lunch today. We hit up our usual spot, Los Toros. I had my new favorite. Good but really not a healthy one. Everything in moderation! The winning plate of mexi-food was the 14th Bull “Tex-Mex” with rice and beans. It consists of 2 beef enchiladas, topped with 2 fried eggs, gaucamole, and sour cream. I added the flour tortilla option, very good. 2 cadillac margaritas flushed it all down.

Traffic was bad this week. I mean bad bad bad. On Thursday the shit backed up 22 miles from the office, I mean what in the hell is going on here? On Tuesday was a major wipeout about 3 miles from my usual morning on ramp. I had to take a grand tour of the AV to avoid the chaos of that mess. SigAlert was issued.

The Bush Administration has gone nuts. Their subpoena of search Google.com records for a porno investigation is absurd!!! This fucking stupidity has only 2 more years, Bush is gone in 2008.

So today I get on the freeway and traffic stops. Literally, stops. It took me 20 minutes to go about 200 yards to get off the mo-fo. I called my wife and she said there was a big wreck and they were landing a chopper to carry off the injured. Great. It took me an additional 45 minutes to navigate around the area to get to the long-cut so I could get to work 30 minutes late. The traffic after the wreck was non existant. I was flying all the way to the 5.

On to a subject dear to me. Some dumb mother fuckers in Kern county have tried to teach creationism in the classroom as philosophy. This would be incredibly laughable but these morons actually came close to pulling it off. It took the threat of a lawsuit by parents to stop the stupidity. Read all about it right here.

Since I am on the subject of dumb mother fuckers how about the idiots that tried to extort money from Wendy’s with a finger tip. Haha assholes! Get ready for a long prison sentence! Read about Anna Ayala and her stupid-ass husband. I would bet that they thought they were going to be living the good life. Stupid rims on expensive cars, a big house with a dead lawn. Get with it you snakes. Trying to score like this never works. See you in 9 years!

I penned this tale to the Editor of the local paper last night after reading the rightwing bullshit that is printed daily in the AV Press. I had a couple glasses of Jesus juice (wine) so I got fragmented and onto a bit of a ramble………Late.

In 1908 “In God We Trust” was added to coins. The statement did not appear on paper currency until 1957. In 1954 the words “under God” were added to the Pledge of Allegiance. President Eisenhower stated, “In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America’s heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country’s most powerful resource in peace and war.” Did this country need more “God” at that time? Wasn’t the 50’s a time of cold war and paranoia? What did this do to unite the country? I am not sure since I was since 11 years away from being born but it sure looks like Dwight’s plan didn’t work very well. The 60’s were a time of war, assassinations, and political strife that hasn’t been seen since. Religion has always been a part of this country’s heritage. That is undeniable. It was not however what this country was founded on. This country was founded on principals that are common behaviors among people around the world. The fact that religion has been forced into the general public through outrageous comments by religious leaders recently is foreboding of future problems. Many different religions are promoted and widely accepted by worshipers across the land. Does this bode well for everyone? Do Muslims want to be forced to go to a church? How many Buddhists want to learn the Christian version of creationism? To a degree I am sure religion does help some people find a way to live their lives in an upstanding way but this does not in any way mean that religion should be forced upon people in the general public. It is now 2006 and this country is going down the drain of moral turpitude if you listen to the zealots that are trying to teach creationism in the classroom. Did adding “God” to the Pledge and currency make us come together “under God” and unite as a country? Far from it. Over 50,000 US soldiers lost their lives in the Viet Nam war. Is this all part of the “under God” plan? If you look closely you will see that adding “God” to currency and the daily Pledge has done nothing. Listen to the pundits now, they want to push even more religion onto us. Why? Didn’t adding “God” to billions of pieces of currency, and millions of daily recitals do the job? No, it didn’t, and it never will. The founding fathers of our great country saw the problems of promoting an official religion. There is nothing good that comes from forcing a particular set of beliefs on anyone. History has shown this time and time again, yet the men and women that push their personal agenda on the rest of us are either blind to history or so bent on their faith that nothing will stop them from illegally attacking the freedoms of all of us. It is as if their religious agenda has to take precedence over the Constitution of the United States purely for their personal satisfaction. If these people want to push religion into the public conscience then feel free to apply for a permit to speak to the public in a general forum. The forum for religion is not the classroom. Many of you will think that evolution should not be taught in the schools of the USA. Why? Is it a religious doctrine? No. Is it a dogma pushed by authoritative leaders with an agenda to raise money for the Vatican? No. Evolution is the theory of thousands of independent scientists that have studied and tested biological life forms according to the scientific method around the world. To claim that a book that was written over 2,000 years ago can sum up and explain the unexplainable is foolish and utterly dangerous to our society as a whole. It is now time to move forward and put religion back where it belongs; into the homes of those that choose to worship and into the hearts of the faithful. In other words keep your personal beliefs to yourself and I will keep my beliefs to me. If not then we will not move forward as a country, we will move backwards quickly. Think of our current state of affairs for a moment. We are a country at war yet we are at war right here in our own borders with people that want to void our Constitution! This is unacceptable. I urge you all to read the Constitution and gain a clear understanding of the intentions of our founding fathers. It this does not work for you I recommend leaving this country and starting your own country someplace else according to your terms.

Get some of that.

I cyber-bumped into one of my homies from way back in the day. We called him Pineapple and it appears that he still goes by that name! Check out his Wudup.net site. Like a true rider Bobby G – Pineapple still has his BMX bike. My old CW Racing bike is long gone dust in this place. I should have kept it going!!! He is now on the blog roll. L8.
