All the guys from the office went to Opening Day yesterday and had a good one. The weather wasn’t so good but we sat in the loge seats and stayed dry. The Dodgers were down 8-1 and staged two rallies that got them to 11-10 but they ended up losing. We had lunch at before the game. You can’t beat their french dips. All good!

Check this out. One of my old skate buddies, Mike Collins, from back in the day made a cool skateumentary that you can find here. You need to login to MySpace.com to get to the video, I think. It is cool, lots of skating of course. Plus you get to see Mike Collins talk about what skateboarding means to him. Rock that shit!!!

Here is what I am up to lately. Clickety click to see my latest beast!! The handlebars are a mighty high 73 inches off the earth, the wheelbase is 102 inches. My car is 104 inches!!! The fork alone is 82 inches from crown to axle. Nice. It is easy to ride, turns take a wide, wide arc but that is expected. I built the main fork tubes out of 1 inch OD .065 steel tubing. The support tube for the fork is 3/4 inch OD .065. Adding a support to the fork keeps the fork from flexing to destruction. I may add a few braces to it to keep it as stiff as possible. I don’t want to bail from that high!! The rear part of the frame is from a GT mtb, the front half is a Murray. 2 people were kind enough to dump these bikes in the desert near my old house. I am going to add a rear brake and possibly a suicide style shifter if I can scrounge up some useable parts from my dead pile. Also a flat black paint job will complete the tall-chopper. I have named this one Sky-Jacker.
