I got myself signed up with the High Desert Cyclists on Monday. I haven’t been riding with anyone lately so this will be cool. There was talk of a criterium race getting started. A weekly weekday series would be sweet.
The USA plays Ghana tomorrow in the World Cup. Ghana has some serious ball handling skills and speed. I am predicting a 3-1 Ghana victory.
The battle for world domination is on. The US squad went down today 3-0 to the Czech Rep. Not good. Defending champions Brazil take on Croatia tomorrow. Bet the house on Brazil.
Today is a funny day. Anyone that is afraid of the date, 6/6/06, needs a head exam. It’s only a calendar.
We made it up to NorCal for a camping trip at a Thousand Trails campground in Morgan Hill. It was a great time, hanging with the in-laws and various members of the family. I manned the camp stove each morning and served up some mean scrambled eggs and facon (turkey bacon) for the crew. I have a few pics that need to get posted. Just wait a few days while I sort out the good ones from the bad ones.
We slept in a tent on an air mattress. I never thought I would say it, but I need to sleep on a “real” bed. My back was killing me each morning. For 3 days I endured the pain. Damn, I need an RV.
