I finally got around to getting started on my truck. Here is what is happening so far. As we progress into 2004 I have begun the

process of modification to my truck. It is a genuine homage to Road Warrior. Starring Mel Gibson, this movie was a tale of men and

machines battling for fuel. The movie featured a fleet of highly modified vehicles. This truck would have been an easy fit for the movie.

You may ask, "What's up with the name?" Well, White Zombie had a song called Black Sunshine and this truck fits the song pretty

good. By the way, high riders rule.

When in doubt, floor it.

10/4/2003 - Initial purchase of the beast, $800 at auction.

10/5/2003 - cleaned out the bed and found years of crap, 99% of it rusted junk.

11/2003 - more cleaning of the interior, removed the demolished carpet and permanently ruined seatbelts.

12/2003 - put air in the tires, vacuumed out the interior.

1/10/2004 - purchased a new/used windshield from a 1979 Chevy dually at one of the local junkyards for $50.00.

1/14/2004 - purchased a new windshield gasket in anticipation of the windshield installation. $57.94

6/01/2004 - got the brake system bled with my father-in-law assisting.

6/17/2004 - went to DMV to get the registration process started

6/19/2004 - tried to install windshield, broke it during process, smashed it to pieces with crushing force.

6/20/2004 - installed new rear shocks. Monroe Magnums. Only took about an hour.

6/22/2004 - new windshield professionally installed

6/23/2004 - got over to DMV for registration. Need to get it weighed and inspected.

6/29/2004 - made it to DMV and got the pig registered. It is now officially mine.

6/30/2004 - got Allstate insurance on this unit. Went for a test off road. It runs and it crushes shit. V8 power is the shit.

7/13/2004 - new pic of the beasto.
